A woofing good time!

FASHION!

Today I am going to tell you a little bit about fashion; what’s hitting the dogwalk (do you see what I did there… 😉 ), what all the dogs are wearing and what all the dogs are NOT wearing. I don’t know an awful lot about fashion, but I think I have the basics down. My collar is pale pink and it is encrusted with diamantes with a silver bone ID tag. A good start right?

I got a new pink and white polka dot collar for mum’s birthday too (see pic in previous post). I have a few other items of clothing, my favourite being my hoodie:

It keeps me warm and it keeps me cool B)

However, I read an article on the Daily Mail about a chihuahua (eurgh), a male one as well, who has the most embarassing collection of dogwear:

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2087304/Rocky-Chihuahua-Britains-best-dressed-dog-guitar.html

I love his coat on the first picture, but this… I mean… I…. I have no words.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOooooooooooooooo.........

I can only hope and pray this never happens to me. And in the last picture of the article, can somebody PLEASE tell me what that hotdog is for? Where does the hotdog go? Not on his head, for the love of god please!

This also really worries me:

I would never been seen dead in a skirt or dress like any of these dogs. I laugh in the face of these dogs! Anyway, so I conclude from these videos that dog fashion has gone absolutely mad. Why do owners embarass their dogs like this? How would they like it if we dressed them up in sparkly childrens clothes?! I may be 2, but in dog years that makes me a teenager, so why would I wear babies clothes! I am indignant with rage.

Anyway, there is some cool stuff out there. Have a look at these websites:

Let me know if you know any other good clothing websites in my comments!

And now, enjoy a video of mum attempting to put me in my coat. Also enjoy my adorable noises after I’m in the coat 😀 Peace out for now.

I’m not the only one!

I kind of thought I was being a really original dog being the only one to blog. But the other day, I heard mum talking about this other blog…and then I did some research, and it turns out theres a whole bunch of them!

In the end, I actually found some good stuff. So for all you dog owners/potential dog owners out there, have a look at this blog:

http://dogblog.dogster.com/

You can find all sorts of knowledge about breeds, puppy care, healthcare and training, and it is written in an informative manner. There is also a large community of people sharing their know how. I might nudge mum in that direction so we can learn more together!

A fellow wordpress user has also caught my attention. This blog is fantastic for finding out about products a dog owner might like to buy and handy tips for training your dog, which is imparted to you in a more conversational way. (I don’t think mum needs to know about this one, I’m already spoiled and VERY well trained thank-you!)

I really support animal shelters rehoming dogs (and cats… I suppose!). I think it’s really sad that so many of my cousins aren’t really wanted/are poorly treated. If you are thinking about getting a pet, please contact your rescue shelter before paying a lot of money for a puppy – when you get an animal from a shelter, you know what kind of personality it has and it is guaranteed to love you all the more! Here is an excellent blog with information about dogs needing rehoming, covering every single breed imaginable in many locations throughout the UK.

Anyway, I hope that helps if you need any dog info!
